LiCoNi (lithium cobalt nickel ) battery in the format 21700 with integrated PCB - protective

The new LiCoNi technology offers many advantages:
- good security by nickel in the battery,
- more power and less space than 26650 cell,
- nickel tames the dangerous cobalt, so that the batteries are very safe,
- nickel brings a good and long shelf life.

The protection circuit protects the battery against overload, deep discharge, short circuit, overheating and limits the current. A protection circuit is compulsory.
Li-Ion and Li-Polymer also can explode due to their share of cobalt. Temperatures above
70-80 degrees, or water intrusion into the dive torch can lead to explosion of torch. Of course, protection circuits are provided, but the past shows clearly that laptops worldwide are burned or cell phone batteries and torches have exploded despite having this protection circuit. TIP: We only recommend the use of LiCoMn/LiCoNi. The use of batteries with different chemistry is at your own risk!

NOTICE : The 21700 battery is a little bit longer than the old 26650 battery. So you can´t charge the 21700 battery in older Xtar VC2 plus charger ( charge slot is little bit to short ). We have an upgrade for the older charger. Please contact us direct.
