The mechanical dimming works without any electronics.
When using the mechanical dimming an additional component is retrofitted on the LED module. Each LED module (whether a new or an old) can be retrofitted with this mechanical dimming. Existing (old) LED modules must first be sent to TillyTec. Only here at TillyTec the mechanical dimming is retrofitting. The directly purchase of mechanical dimming is only possible TOGETHER with a NEW LED module!
The dimming level is ALWAYS set to approx. 30% of the lightpower.
This results in 2 brightness levels - 100% and approx. 30%.
If you use the MAXI uni in the step 30 % than is the burning time approx. three times more than in 100 %.
The change between the brightness levels is the always the same as you know TillyTec. It works by turning the battery tube.
- turn on the torch screwing the battery tube into the light head = 100% brightness
- unscrew the battery tube slightly (minimum rotation) = 30% brightness
- unscrew the battery tube more = torch is turn off
- screw the battery tube again completely = 100% brightness
TIP: The dimming level can also be set to ANY other brightness level on request!
Note: It is not possible to exchange or return a LED module with a mechanical dimming, wich is installed immediately or separatly. After consultation TillyTec a replacement is possible, but you have to pay for the mechanical dimming again.
